Our purpose

Turn to St. Jude is operated by Veridian Nexum and is an independent informational and devotional website. Our friends are invited to pray for all intentions entrusted to our prayer book. We do not represent a shrine, hospital, or religious order, and we do not collect donations on behalf of other organizations.

Petitions and communal prayer

When you submit a petition, we process the words you provide to include an intention in our private prayer book. No name, email address, or account is required. Please avoid full names, contact details, and unnecessary health or other sensitive details, especially about other people.

Petition text is not publicly displayed or automatically forwarded to another organization. Communal prayer remembers the intentions collectively; it does not require participants to read individual petitions.

Petitions are not routinely read by staff. Authorized administrators may access records when necessary to resolve a service issue, investigate abuse, fulfill a removal request, or meet applicable obligations. Access is restricted.

Automated review

Petitions may be processed to identify spam, abusive content, or deliberately disruptive submissions.

Storage, service providers, and removal

Cloudflare hosts the website and private petition database and supplies security services. We use network information for security and submission limits; the petition database uses a salted network-address hash rather than storing the raw address. Cloudflare may separately process network and security records.

Petitions are retained without automatic expiry until we choose to remove them or you request removal. Deletion from the active database may precede expiry of recoverable provider backups. On successful submission, you receive a reference and removal code; keep them privately to request removal. We do not automatically save them or the petition text in your browser.

Daily check-in preferences may be saved in your browser. Optional calendar files are imported into your chosen calendar and do not contain petition text. Email reminders and subscriptions are not currently offered. Earlier preview versions may have saved an email reminder preference only in your browser; this did not subscribe you or send mail.

External links and sharing

External organizations operate under their own policies. Share controls let you use your own device or email application; we do not collect your friends' addresses or send invitations for you.

Security and appropriate use

We use HTTPS, restricted database access, submission limits, and anti-spam checks. No internet service can promise absolute security. Do not submit threats, deliberately abusive material, or others' private information without authority. The site does not provide emergency services or guarantee a particular result from prayer.
